The Bath Golf Course is a Parkland Golf Course designed by Colt & Others at a length of 6,442 it has 18 holes with a medal par of 71 and a 71 SSS Rating. The course is full of variety and is laid out over fine ‘golfing country’. Springy downland turf over shallow soil and limestone ensures rapid draining and the course is usually found to be in superb condition. The greens present a special challenge being relatively small and containing hidden, and some not so hidden, borrows.

Bath Golf Club isn't all that well publicised, and its easy to drive past the entrance without knowing it's there. Set up on the limestone hills surrounding Bath, it has some of the best views I've ever witnessed while golfing! Drainage is excellent, and greens are better than Celtic Manor. The tees are sometimes a bit scruffy, and some not entirely flat, but the general condition of the 130 year old course is superb. The course will definately prove a challenge, and when the wind gets up (as it often does), it can punish you!

Practice facilities are excellent for improving your game, but note that the driving range isn't long enough for really big hitters. In my honest opinion I can definately say this course is better than most of its local rivals: Tracey Park, West Wilts, Kingsdown, Erlestoke, Frome etc etc.... but doesn't quite have the wow factor of places like Manor House or Bowood.
