The Beau Desert Golf Club is designed by Herbert Fowler at a length of 6310 it has 18 holes with a medal par of 70 and a 71 SSS Rating. Situated in the town of Cannock it is one of the Midlands Golf Courses that you may want to play and add to our golf course ratings to see if it will become a RateYourCourse top golf course.

The Midlands is not necessarily considered a hot spot for golf courses but Beau Desert Golf Club is one of the few exceptions. 

This is the Marquess of Anglesey’s golf course. Beau Desert , or Beautiful Wilderness, is an unusual name for a golf course, especially for a course located in such a picturesque landscape. The land once formed part of the Marquess’s Beaudesert Estate. Once upon a time, the area may well have been wild, but it isn’t anymore. This is a stunning heathland course.

For my Golf Course Review of the Beau Desert Golf Club I Played May 2011. Don't be fooled by the lack of yards at this challenging heathland track. It isn't easy. The primary challenge are its large and very undulating greens. These greens, in very good nick by the way, stop you scoring well unless you have your putting boots on. There is a great variety of holes with rough that will gobble errant balls up. The bunkers, when we were there, had too much sand and we suffered from too many plugged balls (and could see members suffering the same). Bit pricey but worth a visit.
