The Bourn Golf Courseis a Parkland Golf Course designed by J Hull at a length of 6417 it has 18 holes with a medal par of 72 and a 71 SSS Rating. Situated in the town of Bourn it is one of the East Anglia Golf Courses that RateYourCourse recommends that you not only play but provide a golf course review for our golf communities.

The expertly designed 18 hole parkland course is set in a quiet rural countryside location  with rolling hills and many large mature trees, yet only 8 miles from Cambridge   A brook runs through the course coming into play on several Holes and combined with 3 lakes creates a very picturesque setting .  Overall the course offers an enjoyable, relaxing challenge to golfers of all standards.  If you are looking to play golf in the Cambridge area a trip to Bourn Golf Club will not disappoint.

In its relatively short history the course has hosted several county competitions and was awarded a silver rating in the HSBC Golf Monthly's course rankings,  being 1 of only 2 courses in the area to receive the award.  In 2009 the county championships were held at Bourn seeing the best golfers in the area battle it out.  In 2010 the Junior Boys Championship will be held at the club.  However our biggest accolade is the number of times visitors return.  You will always find a welcome at Bourn.

Lovely setting, although some building work was taking place on the clubhouse during my Golf Course review this did not affect the round in any way. Helpful and friendly pro shop staff but the highlight was the quality of the greens. Like putting on carpet. The only downside was a reluctance of players to repair divots and pitch marks but this isn't the courses fault. Undulating fairways with challenging pin positions. The Bourn Golf Course is a delight to play and definately will be returning. The new 10th green looks like something out of Amen corner, can't wait for it to be available, however even the temporary green was a great putting surface, all credit to the grounds keepers.
