Burley Golf Club was established in 1905. The course was set out by local gentlemen on Forestry land and is a typical heath land course that remains largely unspoiled today. Described as one of the “gems of the New Forest”, the course offers some of the finest greens in Hampshire or Dorset.

One of the best features that I discovered during my Burley Golf Club Golf Course Review is that the course is set in the New Forest and it has fantastic scenery in a great environment. Although for an accomplished golfer the course doesn't present much of a challenge it has been laid out well with a neat and tidy design another plus is that the yardages are well marked. At the business end of the course the fairways were not great which seems to be the norm at this time off the year but the greens were excellent and I rated these 9 out of 10. Lastly the course has a great 19th hole and just make sure that you have your own equipment as there is no facility to buy equipment and the Burley Golf Club had a lack of carts when we played.
