The development of this course to the championship course it is today continued over the next 30 years with many of the leading course designers of the period having an input into the course architecture. Herbert Fowler and Hugh Alison were members of Burnham and both had an important part to play in improving the links. So to a lesser extent did Harold Hilton and Dr Alistair Mackenzie but the shape of today’s course is due mainly to Harry Colt.

In my course review of Burnham and Berrow Golf Club I would say this is one of the best links courses in the South West. Course was in great shape for the time of year greens were still smooth and a good speed. A great test from all tee's you play 9 holes away from the clubhouse then head back. I thought the par 3's were the best holes on the course.
A MUST PLAY!!!

This is one of the best links courses in the South West A great challenge where you play 9 holes and turn back to the club house so if its windy you play one of these 9's into wind. The greens are great all year round and you wont find better greens than these. A MUST PLAY!!!
