The Dudsbury Golf Course is a Parkland Golf Course designed by Donald Steel at a length of 6,904 it has 18 holes with a medal par of 71 and a 73 SSS Rating. Situated in the town of Ferndown it is one of the South West Golf Courses that you may want to play and add to our golf course ratings to see if it will become one of the RateYourCourse best golf courses.

The course is set in 160 acres of beautiful Dorset countryside rolling gently down to the River Stour and the Clubhouse with its south facing elevated position affords superb panoramic views. Streams meander gently through the course under Purbeck stone bridges linking the nine lakes with the river. The greens have been constructed to USGA specification and are sand based, well drained and receptive. They are protected by large bunkers and water hazards. A feature hole is the 16th where the green is over two lakes: the more aggressive the drive the greater the reward. The course is open all year round. We are proud to boast the fact that temporary tees and greens have never been used and we have an automated irrigation system to all tees, greens and fairways to ensure its top condition.

In my golf course review of the Dudsbury Golf Course I felt that it was an excellent all round facility for Golf. Although the Welcome Experienced on Arrival was not the best I have seen the staff were efficient and friendly. The Availability of Buggies/Carts/Caddies is excellent but just be aware that the course has certain restrictions for motorized buggies. The practice facilities at the course are pretty good and it has both a putting and a chipping green as well as a full covered driving range. On the business side the course has excellent Tees,Fairways and greens which I rated 10 out of 10 the bunkers however were a little short of sand depth. The course is well marked and I found the Cleanliness and Manicuring of the Course excellent. The Layout and Design of the Course has been well thought out and Challenge presented by the Course can be rated as difficult especially when the wind blows. One of the best features of the Dudsbury Golf Course is the 19th hole which has excellent food and an excellent atmosphere. In summary the course is good value for money and my overall enjoyment of the course was 9 out of 10.

For my golf course review Speed of play is always a major concern when playing a round of golf . Unfortunately this was left to be desired at Dudsbury Golf Course ! Greens suffer from many unrepaired pitch marks which i can only guess would be left my visitors to the course. However , overall it is a challenging test of golf that can get tough when the wind is blowing.

For my golf course review of the Dudsbury Golf Course I found that the course was in really in good condition and playing long after all the rain. The only issue that I have with the course are the bunkers which don't have a lot of sand and some of them contain a lot of small stones. Another concern is the slow play of non members who don't seem to want to let other players through. Apart from that the golf course will present a fair challenge to all levels of golfers and it is really good value for money.

In my Dudsbury Golf Course Review I found booking the round of golf very easy. On arrival I was greeted with a warm welcome and I rated the ease of getting around on arrival as 10 out of 10. There are buggies and carts available as well as changing rooms and a pro shop, all of which were excellent. The course also has a brilliant practice range and putting green all of which is surrounded by beautiful scenery along with a great atmosphere. I rated the Tees, Fairways and Greens 9 out of 10 and I had a timely tee off for my round. The course bunkering and yardage marking are both very good and the overall cleanliness and manicuring of the course was also top notch. There is a good speed of play during the round and the course design and layout will give a challenge to most who play it. In summary for my Dudsbury Golf Course Review this is an excellent golf course, very enjoyable to play with a great value for money. I would strongly recommend a visit.

The Dudsbury Golf Course Review showed that the course has a good relaxed atmosphere in a area with great Scenery and Environment. One of the highlights of the course is the clubhouse which serves '' The Best Food Ever''. For those of you who are more interested in the golf the course has an excellent Layout and Design which will present you with a good challenge on any day especially when the wind blows.

In my golf course review I found the course to be in good condition but it can get very wet in the winter. Its a good challenge from the back tees you have a good mix of long and short par 4's plenty of water around so hit it straight. Staff are very friendly as are the members.
A good day out.
