In my golf course review of the Ferndown Golf Club, I found the course to be in great course condition for this time of year. I play here a few times a year and always find the staff and members to be friendly. The course is not long but you have to keep it in the fairway as all the holes are lined with heather. I think the par 3's are the best feature a good mix in length. The par 5's are short and are all reachable with mid irons. The 18th is a good finishing hole a par 4 going uphill to the clubhouse.
You will have a great day out.

In my golf course review of the Ferndown Golf Club, I enjoyed playing the course and I have now played here a few times. The course is always in good condition, greens were smooth and of a good speed for this time of year. Its not a long course but you have to hit the fairways, as the fairways are lined with heather. I always find the pro shop staff to be helpful, but some of the members don't make you feel as welcome as they could, and for that reason its not a club I would ever join. There is no atmosphere in the clubhouse, but its worth playing the course.

In my golf course review of the Ferndown Golf Club, I would say that this is a good heathland course which is always in good condition. But not sure why this course is so high up in the course rankings because its not a challenge for a low handicap golfer. Its not a challenging course as it is short, it has had some work done on the bunkers over the last few years to make it tougher, but they are not really in play off the tee for the better player but as with most old courses it is great to play and you will want to go back. The course has a good atmosphere. The best features of the course is that it is kept in good condition all year round.

In my golf course review of the Ferndown Golf Club, I think that this is a really good heathland designed course which is always in good condition. The welcome that you will receive at the club from staff and members is friendly. The course has a terrific atmosphere. Its not the most challenging course as it is short but as with most old courses it is great to play and you will want to go back. One of the best features of the course is that it is kept clean and the grounds staff make sure the course is neatly manicured, making it more pleasurable to play.
