The Red was described by Bernard Darwin as 'both good and difficult', and it still lives up to this description. In my course review of Frilford Heath GC Red Course I found the course to be a great heathland course. You have to hit straight of the tee as most holes are lined with tree's and heather. Course was in good condition when I played, greens were a good speed and true great for the time of year. I have now played the Red & Blue courses both are great to play, the red is my favorite as its an old traditional layout.
