It is extremely difficult to explain what a challenge this course is and how well it has been designed especially from the white tees. The course has a combination of easy birdie holes for the accurate hitters and also some for the long hitters, but between them are some monster holes like the 5th which is a really tight approach to a tiny green. As far as I am concerned this course has the best 4 par 5's that I have played so far in the South West of England and the 16th a real monster at 582 yds I felt was the best of them. The greens were by far the best I have played on an although difficult to read the good putts would find the back of the hole. For those of you that like challenging medal golf this one is for you and beware of some serious scorecard wreckers namely the 8th a 211 yard par 3 with water in front and not much bail out as well as the 14th which in my opinion is one of the most difficult driving holes out there. In a nutshell this is a awesome championship golf course from the white tees which will test most golfers and from the yellow a great club course that all can enjoy.

During my Hamptworth Golf Course Review I found ease of booking the round to be very good as well as the accessibility of the course which was also good. I experienced a very warm welcome when I arrived and I found getting around the course was easily done. Unfortunately I was not able to play the practice range however the putting green was fair and could be improved. The scenery and environment surrounding the course was excellent along with the great atmosphere on the golf course. I had a Timely tee off and rated the tees on the course as 7 out of 10. The fairways and greens were also both brilliant with good course bunkering throughout although the course yardage marking could be improved. I rated the cleanliness and manicuring of the course as 7 out of 10 and the speed of play I experienced was superb. The layout and design of the course presents a good challenge for golfers and there is also a very pleasant 19th hole at this course. In summary of my Hamptworth Golf Course Review I thoroughly enjoyed playing this course and think that it is very good value for money.

During my Hamptworth Golf Course Review I found booking the round to be easy along with good accessibility of the course. I was met with a warm welcome when I arrived and getting around on arrival was also easily done. The course had a very good Pro shop however the practice range and putting green could be improved. The scenery and environment surrounding the course was excellent and I rated the atmosphere around the course 8 out of 10. Whilst playing on this course you can be sure of a timely tee off along with a fast speed of play during the round. The tees and fairways were good along with the excellent greens. The course bunkering was very well done however the course yarding marking could be made clearer. The Hamptworth Golf Course also has a great layout and design of the course presenting a good challenge to most golfers. Overall this course has very good value for money and the overall enjoyment of the course was excellent.

During my Golf Course Review of the Hamptworth Golf Course I found it to be a challenging Golf Course with some a combination of some excellent and poorly designed holes. It was easy to book the round but although well sign posted the course is pretty tucked away and well off the beaten track. The Welcome Experienced on Arrival was fair and the course has a reasonable pro shop but when we played the practice range was closed and the putting green I rated as the worst I have seen at a 1 out of 10. The Scenery and Environment in which the course is set is spectacular but the Atmosphere around the Course is not as good as one would expect. On the business side of the course I rated the Tees,Fairways and Greens 8 out of 10 and the bunkers were an excellent 10. Once again the course fell down on yardage marking and I rated this an 1 out of 10 which is non existent and unless you have the book or a GPS you are going to battle to find your distances. The Cleanliness and Manicuring of the Course was reasonable and perhaps the greens were a little furry but one thing we noticed was the clock on the clubhouse which wasn't working, in addition to this some of the new hazards weren't marked. As mentioned earlier the Layout and Design of the Course is strange in that it has some excellent holes and some really gimmicky ones. In summary the Challenge presented by the Hamptworth Golf Course is a good one and the green fee is good value for money but make sure you buy a yardage book or take you own distance measuring equipment.
