The Hankley Common Golf Club is designed by James Braid at a length of 6702 it has 18 holes with a medal par of 72 and a 72 SSS Rating. Situated in the town of Tilford it is one of the South East Golf Courses that you may want to play and add to our golf course ratings to see if it will become one of a RateYourCourse top golf course
The 7th hole is looked upon as being one of the finest par 3s in the country and the magnificent 18th a superb but challenging finishing hole.
The course and surrounding area are classified as a ‘Site of Special Scientific Interest' which includes a number of indigenous trees such as Rowan, Oak and Silver Birch, together with the invading Scots Pine. The course is also home to many birds and animals, including the rare Dartford Warbler, Woodlark, Night Jar, Adder, Deer, Badger and the Sand Lizard.
The clubhouse, originally built in 1982, was refurbished and extended in 1999 and now features excellent facilities, including a dining room offering the finest cuisine, a relaxing lounge bar and good quality changing rooms. This being said the fine asset of the club is surely the course itself.
Recently voted number 64 in Golf Monthly Top 100 courses and number 74 in Golf World Magazine Top 100 list, this is a course that will never disappoint the visitor.
