A visit here is a must for all golfers; the beginner is catered for on the 9 hole Dene Courses and the PurbeckChampionship proves an exciting test for even the most accomplished golfer. The Club dates back to 1892, and among the past owners, who were responsible for the extension to 27 holes, were Enid Blyton, the legendary writer of childrens books, and her husband, Dr Darrell-Waters. This course has one of the best views of any course looking out over to Poole harbour. Has some great holes, the 5 hole the green feels like it is out on its own as you look out over to Poole. A good test of Golf and is best played without the wind but you don't get many days like that, but for a real good challenge you need the wind as the course is not long. If the condition of the course was kept up to the rest of the course around the area it could be one of the best this is the only negative thing you can say. Its worth playing

The Isle Of Purbeck Golf Club is one of the top golf courses in the South West and is really a good test of Golf and is best played without the wind, I think it has the best 4 par three's in the South West and is they will test your golfing ability to the max. With Great views of the Jurassic Coast the course is a definite when planning a Golf Break to the South West
