Although it was established in 1913 the early 1920's were a significant time in the club's history as finances were raised and the club embarked on the improvement and preconstruction of the course by none other than Mackenzie & Nicholson Golf Course Contractors.

However the greatest feature of the new course is probably the greens, having all been relaid to USGA standards.
