By today’s standards Liphook is not a long course, measuring 6170 yards..
Liphook is a traditional golf club with one of the best courses in the country (ranked 67th in the UK in the most recent Golf Monthly survey). Opened in 1923, the course was soon recognised by the R&A as an exemplary inland heathland course and is also an early example of Strategic Design for golf courses.

During my Golf Course Review of the Liphook Golf Course I found it had fantastic bunkering and I rated them 10 out of 10. Another good feature is that the course plays quickly and it has a good layout which adds to the Challenge presented by the Course. Unlike most courses I have played in the area this course is well marked and it has good Cleanliness and Manicuring which shows dedication from the ground staff.

Fantastic heathland course in a great setting and well worth playing. When I played the fairways were in bad condition but good once you got 10 yards short of the greens. The greens were rolling very true and at a good speed. Found the bunkers had too much sand in them, as the ball was plugging all the time. But overall a great course that I would play again. A good challenge for any player due to having to hit it straight off the tee. Make sure you keep out of the heather!
