The original course at Mannings Heath consisted of 18 holes and was laid out in 1914 on the initiative of some members of the Horsham Club including Mr J.T. McGaw who owned the land. Almost immediately after the course had been laid it was ploughed up for agricultural purposes owing to the demands of the war.

In my golf course review of the Mannings Heath Golf Club The Kingfisher I found the course to be very forgiving course. The course has excellent facilities that provided great value for money with a terrific 19th hole.The course provides a friendly welcome and the atmosphere around the course is excellent. I will definatley revisit as I rated the overall enjoyment of the course as 10 out of 10.
