Newbury Golf Centre is set within the beautiful surroundings of Newbury Racecourse in Berkshire. The land is gently undulating and the make up of the subsoil and the excellent drainage allows the course to be playable throughout the year.

The 18 holes are made up of 12 holes within the centre of the racetrack, offering links type golf with some additional water features. The last 6 holes are Parkland in character, these holes are now benefiting from an extensive planting programme which is now reaching maturity.

I am new to golf so this is my first Golf Course Review and it was for Newbury Racecourse Golf Club. I have been using the practice range and putting green which are fantastic. The range is usually busy but never too full to find an empty bay.

The putting green is kept really well and easily accessible.

I had my first round this weekend and found the course challenging, maybe more to do with my level of golf :-)

The condition of the course is very good, greens are very true and well maintained. Some nice water features. The last 5 holes are allot more challenging and less forgiving.

Im booking in lessons soon, another review to follow
