Northop Golf and Country Course is a Parkland course designed by Hohn Jacobs at a length of 6750 it has 18 holes with a medal par of 72 and a 73 SSS Rating. Situated in the town of Chester it is one of the Wales Golf Courses that RateYourCourse recommends that you not only play but provide a golf course review for our golf communities.

The course opened in 1994, and immediately hosted the Welsh PGA National Championships before going on to play host to a number of top amateur events and regional competitions.

October 2003 saw Northop host a European Challenge Tour event – the first of its kind ever to be held in Wales.

Now entering the third decade since opening in 1993, the new owner of Northop Country Park is not only maintaining the high standards of course presentation but has invested back into the course to make the game the best in North Wales. The park is easily accessible from the main A55 North Wales coast road. It is situated three miles from the market town of Mold.

In my golf course review I found it to have a good to have a practice area close to clubhouse and first tee were you can hit balls off grass as well as the astro. Got a really warm welcome from staff and members all very friendly
A good lay out plenty of holes where you can give it a good hit but also several dog-legs or holes with water where you need to play for position with a long iron or fairway wood. Course was in good condition when i played. Clubhouse was great decently-priced drink and food.
