The Pyrford Golf Club is a Parkland Golf Course designed by Peter Alliss & Clive Clark at a length of 6256 it has 18 holes with a medal par of 72 and a 70 SSS Rating. Situated in the town of Woking it is one of the South East Golf Courses that you may want to play and add to our golf course ratings to see if it will become one of a RateYourCourse top golf course

Pyrford is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty and wildlife. Ringed by magnificent woodland the fairways weave between sculptured mounds and the 23 acres of lakes, fringed with bulrushes, reeds and lilies, give the course its distinctive and unique characteristic with water ever present.

The 6,230 yard course is separated into 2 loops providing a choice of starting positions. Every hole is different and whilst the course may not be the longest by today’s modern designs a good score will require careful strategy and use of every club in your bag. The best players may well be tempted to take on the challenge of longer carries yet the design gives the less experienced player a safer and more productive route.

Different combinations of tee positions provide a challenge for players of all abilities and the unique design ensures no two rounds are the same.

When doing my Golf Course Review of the Pyrford Golf Course I was playing in and organising a small golf society, and the pro shop was very accomodating in terms of paying, tee time flexibility and longest drive/nearest the pin markers.

The Pyrford Golf Course was not busy which was nice. The layout provided a good challenge to golfers of all abilities, with a lot of water hazards to negotiate. The course was fairly well manicured, with decent reliable greens.

Overall I definitly enjoyed playing Pyrford.
