The Sickleholme Golf Club is a Parkland Golf Course at a length of 6064 it has 18 holes with a medal par of 69 and a 69 SSS Rating. Situated in the town of Bamford it is one of the Midlands Golf Courses that you may want to play and add to our golf course ratings to see if it will become a RateYourCourse top golf course.

With an undulating parkland course of 6,064 yards (Ladies 5,399 yards) and stunning views, it is hard to find a more spectacular or enjoyable venue anywhere. Starting up the hill, the course levels out after the first green and undulates through some of the most beautiful countryside of the Peak District, finishing with a superb view down the Hope Valley from the elevated 18th tee a good 200+ yard Par 3 test when the wind is westerly.

I played Sickleholme Golf Club for my Golf Course review recently as part of a foursomes event with my club. The course, the clubhouse and the people were all really friendly and nice.

The course is layed out on the hills in the peak district with some challenging drives but also some short par 4's which are within reachfor the longer hitters off the tee.

The views of the peak district are great and I was lucky to play on a clear sunny day.

The signature hole is a par three where the tee must be 80 yards higher than the green. A tough hole to choose your club but great if you get it right.

The greens were very quick and the members said that in summer its really tricky to get the ball to stay on, so a real challenge.

The food in the clubhouse was great and each table had their own mini-roast to carve. A great idea and the quality was great.

Over all a great club and I will definatly be back
