The Wychwood, despite being less than 20 years old, is a challenging parkland course that, due to continual investment, gets more so by the year. Most holes have their own features which means that players have to think their way round rather than just "blast away". The signature holes are the par-3 3rd, with a testing carry over the lake (of over 180 yards off the back tees) and bunkers both leaft, right and in front of the green. The 8th is a long par-4 which is heavily wooded down the right and with water in front of the green which often requires a laid-up 2nd to ensure reaching the green dry! The 10th is a long dog-leg par-4 on which the long hitters and the brave can take on the dog leg over the trees but which most will need to hit a good tee shot followed by a wood into the green.

The Wychwood offers a very pleasant 19th, with great, well-priced food and a well-stocked bar with good real ales and a very friendly welcome. This welcome is echoed in the pro shop as well. All in all, a great day out amongst the beautiful Cotswolds countryside.
