The Weymouth Golf Course is a Parkland Golf Course designed by James Braid at a length of 5,996 it has 18 holes with a medal par of 70 and a 69 SSS Rating. Situated in the town of Weymouth it is one of the South West Golf Courses that you may want to play and add to our golf course ratings to see if it will become one of the RateYourCourse best golf courses.

 

Welcome to Weymouth Golf Club, one of the friendliest private members golf clubs in the South and given a regional Silver Award by Golf Monthly. A beautiful parkland course with views over the Dorset coast and countryside. The feature of Weymouth Golf Course which is bound to strike the golfing visitor before any other is the magnificence of it's situation. It is situated in the heart of Weymouth Town with views across the Jurassic Coast.

100 yrs old this year, Weymouth Golf Club continues to develop year upon year. A four year project has seen the completion and build of 18 new tees and a lengthening of the course to 6044 yards as well as an extension to the car park, this makes this gem of a course one of the most popular in Dorset.

In my Weymouth Golf Club Golf Course review I found the ease of booking the round very good. The accessibility of the course was fair and could be improved however getting around the course on arrival was nice and easy. Buggies and Carts were available and the changing rooms and pro shop were both very good. The practice range was good and I rated the putting green 7 out of 10. The Scenery and environment around the course was superb and the atmosphere on the course was great for golf. The tees, fairways and greens were all excellent and the course bunkering and course yardage marking was very well done throughout the course. I had a timely tee off and maintained a good speed of play during the round. The course has a great 19th hole and the layout and design of the course presents a good challenge for golfers playing it. In summary for my Weymouth Golf Club Golf Course Review I think it's a lovely course and it has everything and more that a good golf course should have with some tricky par 3 holes. I rated my overall enjoyment of the course as 9 out of 10 and think this course is definately good value for money.

In my Golf Course Review of the Weymouth Golf Club I found this to be a very enjoyable golf club, although it is a bit out of the way it is pretty easy to get to. On arrival the staff are pretty friendly and there is an good Availability of Buggies and Carts with a well stocked Pro Shop. The course provides a good practice range and there is also a Putting Green so getting prepared for the game is not an issue. The course is well marked and I rated the Tees,Fairways and Greens all over 7 out of 10 and for those of you who like sand the bunkers were brilliant. The Cleanliness and Manicuring of the Course was excellent and the Speed of Play during the Round was brisk. The Layout and Design of the Course is good enough to prepare a fair Challenge by the Course to all levels of Golfers. In summary the Weymouth Golf Club is great value for money and my Enjoyment of course and the 19th Hole were rated 9 out of 10.
